The most entertaining and enraging stories from 'Classical' mythology (and, often, ancient history of the wider Mediterranean!) told casually, contemporarily, and (more often than not) sarcastically. The world of Greek mythology and the history of the wider ancient Mediterranean is full of wonder, horror, and utter hilarity. These myths and stories are timeless for a reason, they're just as releva... more

I came across this podcast back during the pandemic and I was desperate for something new. It had the conversation vibe I wanted. Liv is fun, funny, and unashamedly a nerd in the best way. AND I finally found a way to learn all about a myth or character in one location rather than a bunch of different books. Liv ... more
When I am listening to a mythological or historical podcast, I am not there for contemporary politics or the host’s views on such. I follow political and news podcasts for that. So, I have to unfollow this show, again, as I tried to give it a second chance. I give it three stars, because otherwise it’s pretty good.
just discovered this podcast; it’s the exact content i’ve been searching for, so i was already sold, but the heated political rant at the end of liv reads homer (1&2) absolutely solidified the deal. what a gem!
Always loved the Greek myths, so much fun listening to them again with a more … modern take on them! And yeah, hilarious at the incongruous antics they got up to.
