  • Clever observations, fun repartee

I am always fascinated when I listen to two long time friends converse. (Yes, I eavesdrop). These two long time friends (74 years is what they say, but I’m guessing that they are not even half that age) are worth listening to for their back and forth witty comments, and then add to that an interesting and insightful review of a movie and you’ve got an hour you’ll enjoy.

  • Great Show for Classic Films

I really enjoy your show. I’m glad you mostly focus on the early favorites (mostly pre-1970). I especially like pre-1945 content including silents

I wish you would do an episode on THE LAST COMMAND. There are so many outstanding films at the final few years of silents. This is one of many.

  • Cat People (1942)

Travis and Justin gave an excellent discussion on one of my favorite classic horror films. Their chat was informative, engaging and fun to listen to.

The hosts that have some good insights into the generally pretty old movies they’re discussing. If you’re someone who’s trying to get into older films, I think it’d make sense to listen to at least the first half of a lot of their episodes before watching the movies they discuss, because they do a good job of filling in the broad stro... more
