I’m so glad this podcast exists! It feels like we’re finally getting caught up to speed with practical life skills that previously slipped through the cracks. The broad range of topics keeps me interested, yet neatly ties back together under the umbrella of “things I wish I knew sooner.” Bravo.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Piece of Cakes: Building a Brand from Scratch with Taylor Capuano
Q: How did the Shark Tank opportunity come about, and what made you decide to pursue it when you did?
We applied in our first year but passed because we didn't feel we had a scalable path yet. After our growth through TikTok and first ads, we felt there was a real path to scale, so we reapplied in the following year. We prepared for about six months, making sure we could walk off the set confident in our business and in our ability to deliver.
Augmented Reality: The Truth About Breast Implants with Dr. Anne Peled
Q: What do you consider the most important factor when deciding between implants and fat transfer for augmentation?
Consider goal duration, body habitus, and tissue quality; fat transfer can complement implants or stand alone for natural contouring, but not every patient has enough donor fat, so treatment must be personalized.
Augmented Reality: The Truth About Breast Implants with Dr. Anne Peled
Q: What should a patient ask a surgeon during consultation to ensure they're choosing the right option?
Ask about the surgeon's volume and outcomes, request before-and-after photos of patients with similar anatomy, inquire about potential complications and their management, and seek referrals to past patients for firsthand experiences.
Augmented Reality: The Truth About Breast Implants with Dr. Anne Peled
Q: Could you explain sensation-preserving mastectomies and who benefits most from them?
Sensation-preserving mastectomies aim to spare nerves when possible and reconstruct or reconnect them during the same operation to maintain sensation, especially important for patients undergoing mastectomy for cancer or risk-reducing procedures; the approach varies by anatomy and surgeon collaboration.
Hue Do You Think You Are: How To Build Your Dream Job
Q: What makes you stand out in your field?
A combination of high‑energy live performances, connecting with audiences, strong production and communication skills, and the ability to adapt from short half‑time pieces to long, immersive shows. The human element behind the painting and being easy to work with are critical factors.
