Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Interview: Jigoku / 地獄ケーキ
Q: Jigoku, thank you for making time—how did your interest in Buddhism evolve from your early views, and what drew you to a Nichiren/Lotus Sutra-centered approach?
My fascination with Japanese culture came first, and I gravitated toward Buddhist ideas through a personal journey that blended narrative storytelling with textual study. I found that the Lotus Sutra, viewed through Nichiren's lens, provided a framework that could unite esoteric and practical concerns about society, governance, and morality. It's not about dogma but about a way of reading texts that illuminates modern life and its challenges.
Interview: J.J Montagnier
Q: How can people find more of your work and engage with cycle science?
Visit energieshifts.net to download the free e-book and read essays; also explore the Mayan Wisdom Project and related communities for deeper study.
Interview: J.J Montagnier
Q: JJ, one of the questions is about skepticism. How do you respond to skeptics and to the idea that this may be metaphor rather than literal science?
I started skeptical but open to spiritual concepts; the calendars are a framework that provides structure for spirituality and daily life, a metaphor that can still yield practical insights when applied to real-world patterns.
Interview: J.J Montagnier
Q: JJ., maybe we can step back for a second. How would you quickly introduce what your writing is about and how these calendar systems can frame societal changes?
Cycles govern everything, with days and years each carrying specific energies; by aligning life, research, and work to these energies, one can interpret and anticipate shifts in culture and politics over long cycles.
Interview: Michelle Horsley / Aut Naught Aut
Q: How did your early internet experiences shape your view on autistic communities and advocacy?
The online spaces connected autistic people in ways that physical communities could not, enabling mutual aid and a shared vocabulary that helped many feel understood for the first time.
