This is a great podcast, and Jesse has many knowledgeable guests on to speak about the various legal issues involved. However, my one beef is that the volume is way too low in the recording and I have to turn it way up. Maybe turn the recording volume up a smidge? Other than that, keep up the great work!
I always look forward to listening to Sidebar every morning. It’s like my daily news! I love how Jesse also brings on guests who are practicing or retired attorneys. I’m interested in law, and this show helps me prepare for future cases and how to not have a biased opinion, but rather look at FACTS and details of a case. Thanks again L&C!
Love the show. Watch on YouTube as well… but the podcast audio is not great
If you want the usual, over-covered stories about Luigi M and our messed up government, this site isn’t for you. Stories on this site are interesting and generally not covered by mainstream, fake news networks who cover all things Trump.
This podcast used to be absolutely amazing. Not sure what happened, but during past 1.5 years it definitely became biased and sensational. It used to have really interesting stories about the inter-workings of legal proceedings. Now it feels somewhat ambulance chaser-esque. Before all of these changes it was an easy sell, now it is a hard pass.

This show delivers concise, militantly practical legal analysis and crime reporting, usually in short-form episodes that unpack high-profile cases, courtroom strategy, and regulatory questions. Across recent episodes, topics frequently center on elite-finance scandals, deposition exposures, and civil/legal maneuvers in high-stakes investigations, with a strong emphasis on how law actually works in practice. A notable strength is the routine combination of investigative context, expert commentary, and accessible explanations that help listeners understand complex proceedings quickly.
