Law and Disorder is a new weekly podcast looking at the biggest issues in the news through the prism of the law. We've brought together three of the UK's best legal minds: recently retired High Court judge Sir Nicholas Mostyn, barrister and human rights campaigner Baroness Helena Kennedy, and Charlie Falconer, a Labour peer and former Lord Chancellor.

The varied topics make for very interesting discussions, and I’ve learnt lots listening to this podcast. Great episode on Imran Khan and so pleased you’re using your platform to highlight important miscarriages of justice such as his continued persecution. More on how the legal profession, particularly the judiciary can recruit and retain a much more diverse workforce in terms of both race and class is an essential topic that would benefit from much more discussion. Also how we move away from th... more
Could be a very interesting podcast but isn’t because every episode is dominated by Helena Kennedy with Charlie and Nicholas struggling to get a word in.
That isn’t to say that Helena doesn’t have anything interesting to say, because she does - but so do Charlie and Nicholas but we hardly get to hear from them.
Get a decent producer to ensure all three hosts get equal airtime without being constantly interrupted.
Please do get more guests on. The latest commentary on the BBC/Trump case simply turned into a left-wing soapbox rant.
Interesting, smart people with useful things to say. But a successful podcast isn’t just putting three clever people into a room together - there needs to be some structure, otherwise you end up with this, where people keep talking over each other, trying to make their point, going off on tangents, etc.
It’s so infuriating to listen to, when it has so much potential.
Such a good listen. Wish they were longer and some more about criminal law as HK is amazing!
