Could be a very interesting podcast but isn’t because every episode is dominated by Helena Kennedy with Charlie and Nicholas struggling to get a word in.
That isn’t to say that Helena doesn’t have anything interesting to say, because she does - but so do Charlie and Nicholas but we hardly get to hear from them.
Get a decent producer to ensure all three hosts get equal airtime without being constantly interrupted.
Please do get more guests on. The latest commentary on the BBC/Trump case simply turned into a left-wing soapbox rant.
Interesting, smart people with useful things to say. But a successful podcast isn’t just putting three clever people into a room together - there needs to be some structure, otherwise you end up with this, where people keep talking over each other, trying to make their point, going off on tangents, etc.
It’s so infuriating to listen to, when it has so much potential.
Such a good listen. Wish they were longer and some more about criminal law as HK is amazing!
A wonderful and insightful show which include, law, debate, history, culture development and policy. I listen to Rest is History and pay for it, but that show is missing whatever that is being discussed here, which suggests that I would pay for this show as well so that we encourage good high quality shows. Long may good debate survive through these individuals.
