Ignorance of the law is no excuse! That's true for a traffic stop, and it's true if you want to participate in whatever's left of American democracy. If the events since the 2016 election taught us anything, it's that tuning out is not an option. Legal journalists Liz Dye and Andrew Torrez break down the week's most important courtroom stories, so you can keep on top of this crazy news cycle. Whet... more

It is difficult to adequately praise Law and Chaos’s hosts enough for their informative, snarky, nerdy, and ethically sound approach to legal reporting. Liz Dye had won me over through her work on the YouTube Legal Eagle channel, and finding her partnership podcast with Andrew Torrez has been a double win that brightens my day. Their spot on explanation of the U.S. legal process combined with comical asides and encouragement for everyone who still believes in democracy is a privilege to hear twi... more
The hosts do a good job of appraising intelligent listeners about a variety of legal issues confronting the nation.
Liz an Andrew’s way of covering things week to week is great for making sense of the stream of material coming out of the headline mills.
I am aware of the accusations against Andrew, and had enjoyed the previous podcast he was part of, Opening Arguments. That aside, I'm here for a legal analysis of the insane political situation in the US, and I have found Law and Chaos to be the best place for me to get it. Liz (despite her nervous laugh at times) is very easy to listen to, and I like her take on many issues - both hosts clarify the issues well and don't become self-indulgent like some other political podcast hosts. Love the pod. Love Liz and Andrew, and how Liz reigns in Andrew’s geekery and Andrew steadies the rails on Liz’ justifiable rage at the world’s current incompetence - and also will rattle them too when appropriate! Perfect balance of the team - and I have to admit… I gotta hear the Magic the Gathering case. It’s already so nerdy … lean into it! Thanks for a great pod.
