It is crazy that at the start of every game, Rachel Nichols flashes the white power symbol with her left hand, for a long time during her monologue. You can go back and check. She did it from the preseason on. She obviously does not Want to be around “those” people. It devastated my children and I when we saw it. It is awful to do to the young, full of hopes and dreams.

It is clear she wants to do something else. Let her do that something else away from our sons and daughters.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Lakers Talk HR 1: Greatness
Q: What makes Walker Kessler a realistic centerpiece alongside Luka Dončić, and what are the risks if he doesn't sustain those elite defensive habits?
Kessler brings elite rim protection and strong interior defense, plus efficient finishing and rebound presence. The risk is whether his defensive impact and consistency hold up under different lineups and a more offensive load, but his versatility to switch and protect the rim could anchor the defense and enable the offense to operate more freely.
Lakers Talk HR 1: Greatness
Q: Pete, given what you saw in Summer League, how do you see Adu Thiero and Cameron Carr fitting around Luka and Austin if at all this upcoming season?
Both players look capable of contributing as defenders who can close gaps and protect the rim, with Thiero potentially playing more minutes off the ball and Carr demonstrating rim protection and shooting development. The key is continued growth in their decision-making and fit within the Lakers' system, which could reduce the immediate need for big trades if they continue to develop.
Lakers Talk Hr 2: Redo!
Q: Where do you see the Lakers fitting into the current 3-5 seed range, and what move could realistically push them into that tier?
Buha points to a combination of internal growth (Adu and Cameron Carr stepping up), potential wing upgrades via mid-level moves, and careful use of the non-taxpayer mid-level exception as routes to elevate the roster to a top-six, top-five offense/defense balance.
Lakers Talk Hr 2: Redo!
Q: What's top of mind for you right now, Jovan, as we just go through the transaction cycle?
Jovan emphasizes evaluating the current roster fit, the balance of star power with depth, and how upcoming moves could shift the Lakers into or out of the top tier, while considering cap constraints and the potential impact of internal development.
Destination For LA Sports HR 2: USA Advances!
Q: Where do you see the Lakers' ceiling with this roster, and what could still be added?
The Lakers sit in the middle tier; they likely need another wing and a guard/contract strategy to add depth without sacrificing cap space, and a future upgrade could come via trade deadline or buyouts.
