  • nimby LA Forward has ruined it

used to be great about improving transit and streets, as well as building denser housing, but now the left-nimbys at LA Forward took over and it had gone downhill. still some good info, but they are generally not promoting what will move the city forward in a better way.

  • Longtime subscriber - YMMV

I’ve been subscribed to this show since it started and loved the hyper local coverage of scandals, politics and happenings. I even stayed subscribed through their endorsement of Sheriff Villanueva! But the constant giggles and sarcasm is agonizing. I find myself stopping the show 15-20 minutes in and don’t go back. • The Nervous Laughing

If you can get past all of the nervous and awkward laughing every few minutes, it’s a great podcast to get insight to LA politics. Depending on the host combination, prepare for more laughs and more awkwardness.

The first 20 to 30 minutes of the podcast consists of the hosts’ LA Stories, which, while occasionally interesting are way too long. The remaining hour includes at least 5 minutes of the hosts laughing at one another’s jokes. If the hosts tightened things up and posted episodes more regularly I would enjoy the show a lot more and consider cont... more
