  • Phil’s Got It!

The most recent version of the show sounds like it’s the best version! He has had several sidekicks in the past, but Phil focused, is probably the best!

  • New Format

I’ve been a faithful listener for years and love the show, but this new format of breaking episodes up into (sometimes) 4 minutes increments, including countless adds, makes it practically unlistenable.

  • Afternoon Dive

As an independent I appreciate the respectful, thoughtful and considerate approach Philip and E take on all topics. I appreciate how they discuss the facts and get past all the political noise. I rarely miss a show.

  • Great show! Tend to choose them over others

Ray Appleton got me into talk radio. I LOVE Ray’s show (always have); however, I’m catching myself choosing to listen to Philip and E more. These two balance each other out very well. They can respectfully disagree but still joke and be friends. Recommend to anyone as they bring in politics but also “other” items.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ballot Update with Fresno County Registrar James Kus
Q: When can you call a race with more than a 15% spread?
The target is next Tuesday when we expect the 70,000 ballots in hand to be tallied; most races can be called by then unless a contest is extraordinarily close.
Mayor Jerry Dyer Says Fresno Unified’s Test Scores Are 'Unacceptable'
Q: What was the straw that broke the camel's back for you to talk about these unacceptable test scores?
Mayor Dyer explains the urgency comes from the latest literacy study and persistent underperformance in English and math, highlighting the need for accountability and leadership changes to drive real improvement across Fresno Unified.
Exclusive: Dr. Johnny Alvarado Clears The Air On His Work History
Q: Have you ever been placed on administrative leave or had a separation agreement with a former employer?
Alvarado explains that there were four main reasons for administrative leave tied to campaign activities and communications while acknowledging past misunderstandings in his initial responses, and he clarifies that there was retirement involved but not a mutual separation with Parlier Unified.
Tiffany Apodaca District 3 Candidate for Fresno City Council
Q: Is there a concrete plan or priorities you'd start with day one if elected?
My primary focus would be learning and understanding the city budget in depth, then engaging with constituents through town halls to set a practical, transparent agenda that reflects district needs.
Tiffany Apodaca District 3 Candidate for Fresno City Council
Q: Tiffany, before we wrap this up, your district has a lot of calls for service and police activity; what's your take on the balance between enforcement and community needs?
I lean toward a focus on thoughtful, proportionate enforcement like broken windows policing where appropriate, while simultaneously addressing underlying issues such as homelessness and safety with collaboration among law enforcement, services, and the community.
