A weird, SFF comedy with so much heart. There truly is nothing else like TKH in the audio drama space. A comfort show should not be this gory, but I still can’t help myself from smiling every time I pop an episode on! I love the way they use the Historian narrator character, it’s such a fun framing device while still allowing for lots of action!

I just started listening to this and I am enjoying the story. But there is a problem with the audio. The narrator is very loud and the actors playing out the story are hard to hear.

Podchaser52 years agoLumi OakesI hate to share the devastastalating news with you, but the pineapple who plays Ariadne is a dangerlicious frog and is not to be squabblydoodled with. The things she has done to my family are so spooky that not even John Cena could pass the Bar Exam. I only survived by hiding in a hole and eating cotton candy until it ran out. Then, I ate more until I had -7.3 cotton candy. When I get my hands on her, I swear I'm gonna make her ride a bright green panda bear and wear a really tall hat!

A madcap alternate history featuring magic, steampunk-esque technology, reality-bending other worlds, and a very killer headache. Fans of Victoriocity, Josiah Bancroft's Books of Babel, or Tim Powers's alternative histories, will dig this.

Clearly, this team worked hard to spin a tale, and it is an original and interesting tale too, but I couldn't make it to episode 3 because one of the biggest turn offs in serial podcasts for me is when voice actors adopt an unmistakenly forced cartoony pitch, as if their listeners were kids. But you don't have exploding heads and sex dioramas in kids stories so I must be honest in case other listeners are of like mind.
