I love everything about this podcast. I was an all-day, daily listener while catching up on past episodes. The way Candice tells a story is perfect. If you are a true crime junkie, then this is for you!
I was a fan of Candace DeLong for years before I heard this podcast - but I had no idea she was a raving antisemite. She somehow tries to scapegoat Israel for the fact that a deranged Palestinian man murdered RFK. I couldn’t even get through the episode.
CDL does (and did!) fantastic work. But it is a narrow perspective to talk about how Luigi Mangioni shouldn’t lionised by stating that murder isn’t the answer when individuals don’t agree with systems. A more nuanced perspective acknowledging that the United CEO was selected because he actively supported and promoted activities that led to the deaths of many innocent people would have been more compelling.
Really interesting 🧐
I love how Candace says surprise .. surprise 😋 on the last podcast about the Palestinian murder in Robert Kennedy …the Israel -Palestine “war” was never a war it’s always been a genocide. To end cycles of violence victims need to heal so they don’t become like their oppressors.
Learning about the psychological realm of the truly twisted and unrepentant can be intense, but DeLong’s delivery brings the clinical along with the gallows, so it feels grounded. And she’s competent in up-to-date changes and awareness so her perspective remains fresh and relevant.
