What an absolutely wonderful and insightful conversation! Megan’s story arc is as magnificent as her views on present day (and the future of) space based operations. An out of this world mind who, by any measure, comes off as exceedingly authentic and down to Earth. Thank you, Kathy Sullivan, for bringing this discussion and her story to us. I hope to meet you both some day!
Super thought-provoking…each of them! You make one of the best cases ever for the important of (and what can be had) with a liberal arts degree!
As a fan of Catherine Deneuve, I was intrigued to listen to the episode describing an evening at a dinner with her. Sadly, the host basically complained, although eloquently, about not having been able to chat it up with her that night and how she had been the better guest. If you know anything at all about Catherine, you know that she is admittedly a nervous introvert, keeps an “icy” facade as a defense mechanism and is actually anything BUT icy. Such a fascinating and insightful podcast with a unique perspective from the only woman who has both walked in space and been to the deepest part of the ocean. I love this podcast and look forward to every episode. It's a privilege to hear from an astronaut and her guests. Highly recommend!
A great mix of guests so far that lead to interesting discussions. In between those great interviews (that are typically 45-1hr long episodes), Dr. Sullivan will have a minisode where she tells a story from her experiences. I found myself laughing aloud as she told the story of when she and Dr. Sally Ride switched nametags. Her life is incredible and she's an inspiration. Highly recommend.
