Too many of the stories are fluff. more
I believe the most impactful think a citizen can do is be informed on and participate in local politics. I’d like to know more about the happenings at City Hall in KCMO. Also, I think maybe you need two shows. One for the MO side and one for the KS side of the metro. Sexting scandals and bee keeping ordinances in Johnson County have absolutely no impact on people on the Missouri side. In other words, we have no local news. The Star is garbage and the local news channels have gone downhill.
Forget the sensationalistic, commercial TV news, this is my new go-to for KC, Missouri, and Kansas news. Professional, concise but in depth with the occasional human interest story but no “fluff,”, this is the place to start for local news. I pair this with NPR’s Up First podcast and am up to speed on the news before so finish my morning commute. Five stars.
I learned a lot from this show. The host is very knowledgeable and has a sweet voice. Very pleasant!
I listen to NPR mainly through my podcast app now, and while I listen to national broadcasting such as, Up First, I was missing out on some local news. I’m glad I found this bc it covers a lot of ground without being overly long. Just what I needed to add to my daily rotation.
