  • Not bad

It’s the best (or only?) KC news podcast, but I do wish the structure was a bit stronger. The headlines in the first section are the best part, but there are very few of those. The rest of the podcast then focuses on one story/interview (usually a more human interest piece) that can be hit or miss. Maybe there just aren’t enough local news headlines to fill a podcast each day.

  • Great idea. Wish they’d pay more attention to City Hall.

Too many of the stories are fluff.

What are some of the highlights on with the next budget being entertained by the KC City Council in March? Why doesn’t Jackson County prosecute violent criminals? What’s the deal with the increasing number of homeless people in KC and what’s the impact on the taxpaying citizenry?

These are a few of the questions specific to Kansas City that you could be trying to answer. These questions, and many more, if answered, could give Kansas Citians the kind of info... more

  • Great idea. Wish they’d pay more attention to City Hall.

I believe the most impactful think a citizen can do is be informed on and participate in local politics. I’d like to know more about the happenings at City Hall in KCMO. Also, I think maybe you need two shows. One for the MO side and one for the KS side of the metro. Sexting scandals and bee keeping ordinances in Johnson County have absolutely no impact on people on the Missouri side. In other words, we have no local news. The Star is garbage and the local news channels have gone downhill.
