2023年，以中国特色的“妖怪”故事为主的动画短片集《中国奇谭》横空出世，收获了许多好评，特别是其中的第一部《小妖怪的夏天》，这部动画以一个小猪妖作为主角，讲述了他在一个妖怪洞打工的辛酸，以及在种种因缘巧合下，和西天取经的唐僧师徒发生一些联系的故事。
