它带来一股清风，吹到我心里。整个周末，我都在循环听罗大佑的新歌《所以》。北京闷闷的，天气像是我们内心的象征，仿佛有种东西笼罩在身上，被压得透不过气来，你不知道怎么去描述，也没有能力去戳穿，但又觉得心有不甘。所以，在听这首歌的时候，有一种奇异的共鸣感。
我和大佑见过两次，我对他既有深深的崇拜，又有一种浅浅的嫉妒，我一直觉得他是二十世纪中文世界最伟大的行吟诗人之一，他既像是披头士，又像是鲍勃·迪伦，他将抒情性和思想的尖锐性完美地结合在一起，总是能够非常敏锐地感应到人的情绪的变化。

那是一种浅浅的、永远都没法深入的睡眠，像睡在悬崖边，随时翻下去就醒了。听着马尔克斯的小说，我的睡眠伴着南美的番石榴气息，有种淡淡的热带迷幻，脑子里则是关于社会学、人类学似懂非懂的、无法消化的信息。
1938年，费孝通在伦敦写《乡村经济》，顺手写了本小说《茧》，一直放在导师雷蒙德·弗思那里，直到孙静找到这份手稿并翻译出来。想起费孝通的老师马林诺夫斯基，当年被流放到小岛，随身带的是康拉德的小说。人类学、社会学和文学之间的关系，激起我重读康拉德的兴趣。

1938年，费孝通从伦敦回国，那时中日战争已经爆发，他先坐船到西贡，又通过滇越铁路到大后方，加入云南大学社会学系。在昆明的那段时光，是他学术生命中非常重要的一段时期。
读费孝通的时候总是很触动，他形容自己是“思想上的马帮”，他的知识和理论来自对现实直接的观察，而不只是文献，新的事物不断向眼前涌来，思想一直流动。
