  • Insightful and Intelligent Analysis

If you like to dive deep into the DCEU movie universe this podcast is for you. After BvS was released I was having a hard time finding anything that viewed the movie as positively as I did. This podcast not only does that, but exceeded my expectations. The break down the films scene by scene and give in depth analysis of dialogue, themes, meaning, and character. • Very well structured

I'm so impressed by what the team behind JLU podcast can do every episode. Their essays are well informed and structured. It's also very tangible, meaning you can take what they've been able to extract from the films of DCEU and easily reflect in your every day life. Great work guys, keep it up!

  • Disappointing Political Hatemongering

I was all-in on this podcast and listened regularly until the most recent episode on the Superman/Doomsday fight, in which the host did what so many liberal entertainers have done recently, and used his movie analysis as a platform to take a hateful potshot at our current president. It's entirely within his rights, no question. But I tune in to podcasts like these for escapist entertainment, not to hear political talking points. In this episode, the hosts makes a thinly-veiled statement about th... more

  • I am really enjoying this journey through Batman v Superman!

I really enjoyed Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and as a fan, the critical reactions have been very disappointing to see, but also frustrating in that the bold approaches and the incredibly well constructed themes in the film have not been given the credit that they deserve.

I found Sam's podcast after reading an excellent blog post of his, and after listening to his first episode, I knew I had found something special.
