David is a great storyteller, first with his images and now with words. This show is a peek behind the curtain of what it is like to be a working photojournalist in difficult situations. His guests are great too. The episodes about 9/11 and Ramadi are very compelling. David tells stories with humor and honesty. If you are interested in photography or current events, you will enjoy this podcast.
I’ve been lucky enough to spend time with David, but oddly we never discussed his work in the way he does here. He’s been in the middle of life’s rawest and most brutal moments. Those of us who haven’t benefit from coming as close to walking in his shoes as we can. He brings it to life with all of its texture here. Time well spent.
This podcast is absolutely groundbreaking. It is the most revealing and raw podcast about the emotions and intensity of being a Photojournalist that I’ve ever listened to. David’s reflections of past events that he has lived through is remarkable. It really gives True insight to the world of being a Photojournalist. Absolutely brilliant.
