It’s honestly a great show, Ted and Jamarl are great, I like to hear Robbies opinions on things as well. I listen to this podcast in the mornings on my way to work Monday-Friday, much love from Cali!

  • 5 minutes of cheesy music in the intro then a commercial in less than 2 minutes of talking. And like so many that use ad services that suck because they drop ads in the middle of words or sentences. If you're to lazy to give them timestamps go get a real job.

  • Re: Is the Left Picking On Israel?

I’m convinced this could have been a more robust & interesting conversation with a guest like Aimen Dean. He manages to present a realist perspective that is against Netanyahu & the far right “kooks” in power while also against the boilerplate party line of Western “left,” and as nuanced as you’d expect from an Al Qaeda member turned MI6 agent turned “information broker” … Plus, he’s adorable, and if you let him, he might even sprinkle in sick dad jokes!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Iran Holds Strategic Regional Cards: Esteban Carrillo Interview
Q: What is the likely political cost for the U.S. and allies if the current approach continues without meaningful negotiation or resolution?
Esteban argues that there could be ongoing damage to democratic norms and increased political polarization, with the potential for longer-term strategic costs as regional powers push back against perceived U.S. domination and as domestic political pressures mount.
Iran Holds Strategic Regional Cards: Esteban Carrillo Interview
Q: Oil is currently around $40-45 before the war and around $72 now; will prices continue to rise above $100 a barrel given current actions?
Esteban explains that while futures and spot prices move differently, the trajectory is uncertain and depends on how blockades, reserves, and global demand interact, with potential for further volatility if conflicts persist or widen.
Russian Troops Press Forward as Ukraine Comes Apart: Stanislav Krapivnik Interview
Q: Can you tell us what's actually going on as far as you know?
Stas explains the disconnect between Western narratives and on-the-ground realities, including how fuel, drones, and frontline fortifications are shaping the conflict, while criticizing media portrayal and emphasizing the strategic dynamics in Ukraine and Russia.
Iran’s Plan: Outwit, Outplay, Outlast | DeProgram with Ted Rall and John Kiriakou
Q: How high could oil spike given the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the ongoing conflict?
Oil could move 10-15% higher in a disruption scenario if the Strait remains constrained and there is continued geopolitical risk, with the potential for shorter-term spikes followed by slower retracements depending on diplomacy and supply resilience.
Let’s Talk, Scums! | DeProgram with Ted Rall and Jamarl Thomas
Q: What do you think about Hochul's luxury tax proposal for second homes in NYC?
It's framed as a budget tool but risks being regressive and limited in impact; the real issue is the underlying fiscal crisis and whether targeted, broader reforms would be more effective.
