  • 5 minutes of cheesy music in the intro then a commercial in less than 2 minutes of talking. And like so many that use ad services that suck because they drop ads in the middle of words or sentences. If you're to lazy to give them timestamps go get a real job.

  • Re: Is the Left Picking On Israel?

I’m convinced this could have been a more robust & interesting conversation with a guest like Aimen Dean. He manages to present a realist perspective that is against Netanyahu & the far right “kooks” in power while also against the boilerplate party line of Western “left,” and as nuanced as you’d expect from an Al Qaeda member turned MI6 agent turned “information broker” … Plus, he’s adorable, and if you let him, he might even sprinkle in sick dad jokes!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Trump Threatens to Bomb Oman/Q&A | DeProgram with Ted Rall and Jamarl Thomas
Q: Given the US political climate, is there any real appetite to back diplomacy in this crisis?
The panel notes that domestic political concerns, including midterm dynamics, complicate a restrained approach; long-standing deterrence and regional alliances will heavily influence whether diplomacy can gain traction amidst domestic pressures.
Trump Threatens to Bomb Oman/Q&A | DeProgram with Ted Rall and Jamarl Thomas
Q: Do you think Iran is bluffing with threats to the Strait of Hormuz or could there be real risk of a kinetic confrontation?
Estimations vary: some guests view it as posturing aimed at pressuring international actors, while others warn that continual escalation and blockades could push toward a proximate military clash, especially if diplomacy collapses and sanctions tighten.
Trump Threatens to Bomb Oman/Q&A | DeProgram with Ted Rall and Jamarl Thomas
Q: Esteban, what's your take on Hamas reportedly agreeing to disarm and what this means for Gaza?
Esteban suggests that despite reported disarmament, distrust remains high due to Israel's ongoing actions and the broader asymmetry of power; the move may be more political signaling than a guaranteed on-the-ground disarmament, with real progress hinging on withdrawal and enforcement.
Desperate US Sailors Leaping Overboard at Sea | DeProgram with Ted Rall and Jamarl Thomas
Q: What portion of these 5,000 sailors think they are on the wrong side of humanity?
The hosts suggest a significant portion harbor internal doubts about the morality of ongoing operations, with some sailors potentially feeling alienated or distressed by US policy; the guest emphasizes moral injury and internal conflict within the crew.
New Ship to Relieve Troubled USS Abraham Lincoln | DeProgram with Ted Rall and Jamarl Thomas
Q: What is your read on how the Lincoln crisis is being perceived in the Middle East?
Magnier suggests that while the US remains militarily powerful, its objectives are not guaranteed due to Iran's strategy and regional alliances, framing the situation as a test of political will rather than a straightforward military victory.
