I love listening to Joy whilst I’m working around the house or just to jumpstart a task I’ve been putting off. She helps me feel seen, heard and understood, while giving me suggestions on how to move forward in a way that maybe different than common advice but I could so relate to them! I am so grateful for her HOPE-filled voice in this noisy and sometimes confusing and frustrating world of productivity. You can hear her authenticity as she can really understand the struggles of someone who may ... more
After 37 years, I finally get it. I am so happy I found this podcast. I was diagnosed as a young child. They didn't really know much so medicine was the first route and no one taught you anything about your adhd or what to do. I started to learn as I got older and began to mostly manage it but then I became a mom. My adhd got so much worse and I waited for it to stop but it's not. I've tried so many methods but this one actually makes sense. They are ideas that actually work for my brain! 😀
I like this podcast because of the helpful tips I get for my fish brain. I also like that it's short, and the way that Joy keeps laughing throughout her talk just is so encouraging! It's one of my favorite podcasts to listen to at the end of the day when I feel like getting a little boost! Best of all, this podcast has helped me embrace the way God created me as being "actually just fine!" I don't need to worry about not being a monkey or compare myself to them! Thank you, Joy 👏🏼!
I have really enjoyed her honest approach of getting it together. I appreciate her encouraging way of reminding me that it may not be perfect and that is ok. As a mom with Adhd it has been comforting to know I'm not alone.
Joy has a unique and powerful approach to unravel the mystery of why organizing books and techniques simply don’t work for those of us who think differently. I have struggled to “get my act together” my whole adult life. Finally, thanks to this podcast, I am no longer fighting myself. Joy’s practical strategies are making sense. Her kind, nonjudgemental explanations keep me interested in hearing more!
