  • If you want to interview someone, please LISTEN to what they’re saying

Please stop interviewing Peter Walsh unless you’re ready and willing to declutter from your head: “Decluttering is *the* mission.” Listen to the man: decluttering is not the mission. The goal is to have clarity on the life you want for yourself and it’s got nothing to do with how successful you can declutter. No wonder he sounded so exasperated! Because his key message is simply not getting through while you kept redirecting the discussion back to what *you* want to hear.

  • Not my cup of tea

I was excited to finally find a podcast that would work for me. And the first 20 minutes were great but the longer I listened, it just completely turned me off. I couldn’t turn it off fast enough. I feel like this podcast is just kind of all over the place. And I completely understand the whole ADHD thing because I also have been diagnosed with that, going on 32 years now. It’s was just way too much for me. It was making me anxious and overwhelmed. She makes weird sounds, weird noises. She’s... more

  • A delight

I, a butterfly, adore you. You have given me the words to explain to my parents why they (a cricket and a bee) think I am disorganised. My mother the cricket now watches and listens to you religiously and thinks you are the bee’s knees and the cat’s pyjamas.

I’ve had an idea for the Ultimate Teamup: You and Mike Holmes. You do organisation and storage with Mike and he checks out your house and finds out where that leak in the ceiling is coming from :D

  • I love it

This talk with Peter Walsh was from another world! I couldn’t believe how real it got. I looooooove this new Peter from „at the end of my career“! Tell it like it is! And my honest respect for handling depression. Love to both of you 🙌—————

I had to cry when I heard Lisa sing the clutterbug song she made for Cass. It is so much from heart to heart what is teached there. I love it. Real people. Real lifes. Not decluttering for pretty pictures and no pretending to be perfect. That’s what brings ... more

Keep Your Home Clean & Tidy 24/7 with this ONE SECRET! | Clutterbug Podcast #320
Q: For my listeners who have never heard of The Four Tendencies, could you break it down for us and explain how you came up with this framework?
The Four Tendencies are upholders, questioners, obligers, and rebels, defined by how people respond to outer and inner expectations. The idea came from observing patterns in behavior, such as how some people follow through because it makes sense to them (questioners), while others need accountability from outside themselves (obligers). The framework helps tailor solutions to individuals by matching strategies to their tendency.
I Stopped Rescuing Everyone . . . and My House Got Better | Clutterbug Podcast #316
Q: How has stepping back changed your family dynamics and independence?
JoAnn shares how boundaries led to more independence in her children and a healthier partnership, with examples like kids scheduling their own appointments and her husband stepping up in chores and decision-making.
I Stopped Rescuing Everyone . . . and My House Got Better | Clutterbug Podcast #316
Q: Please, how did you get into this? How did you become an expert on this?
JoAnn Crohn explains her journey from postpartum challenges to founding No Guilt Mom, discussing how personal growth and therapy helped her develop a framework for boundaries and teaching moms to let their kids and spouses take more responsibility.
Japanese Organizing that WORKS (Even With ADHD) | Clutterbug Podcast #317
Q: Maria asked about handling a large photo collection and memories when downsizing, especially on a tight budget.
Provide a multi-step process: sort into rough categories, use acid-free paper in banker boxes, separate-worthy vs discard, then store the rest in labeled boxes; do not try to complete everything at once, focus on reducing to a manageable subset before any album creation.
Decluttering And Death: Cleaning Out My Grandma's Condo (What No One Tells You) | Clutterbug Podcast #315
Q: What practical steps can families take to make the inheritance decluttering easier?
Start by identifying five items with real meaning to the person, write down the stories behind them, and involve family in conversations now to set boundaries and reduce future decision fatigue when the time comes.
