Q: What type of medications aren't accepted, and what do you do with the things that people send in anyway?
We can accept any medications sealed in manufacturer packaging, except for controlled products. If medications do not meet our safety criteria, we have partnerships to study them for other uses.

Q: Do you mind running through some numbers?
We started with nine sites and those were part of three practices across the state. We are now at over a hundred and five sites across Michigan, including tribal health clinics, small community practices.

We are sending written counseling to patients who refused an appointment, providing information about their results and inviting them to connect if they have questions.

Q: Can you talk about the specific provider or patient barriers that you've encountered in your practice outside of mainstreaming?
Common barriers include lack of relationship between patients and genetic counselors, limited pre-test counseling, and different motivations for testing, often driven by treatment needs rather than familial considerations.
