  • Stick to business

Love the podcast for the business content but the constant swipes at government policy after 14 years of austerity and the instability and chaotic nature of the tories it feels like these guys are just a right wing Tory / reform mouthpiece. Unless you want to look at the picture as a whole rather than tax policies, leave it alone

  • We Rated This Podcast For A Punt

I tune in to Business Broadcast religiously, partly for the entrepreneurial wisdom, mostly for the reassurance that I’m not the only one juggling chaos, caffeine, and questionable spreadsheets.

James, you’re brutally honest, slightly terrifying, but somehow motivating enough to make me believe my business Sophia Victoria Joy (we make personalised gifts that actually make people cry happy tears) might just take over the world… one gift at a time.

Consider this my official Post-for-a-punt entry,... more

  • Great podcast spoilt by politics

Used to love this podcast, and the addition of JB made it even better. However the increasing amount of politics and slating the UK as a place to do business has become too much and I decided to stop listening.

£40k/month Buying Social Clubs & Refurbishing them Faces Cashflow Pressures
Q: What is the core business model and how do you start it from a pound?
He buys social clubs for a nominal amount, refurbishes them, and rents them back to the committees while linking them to suppliers like Heineken to secure rebates, creating multiple income streams to service debt and refurb costs.
The Most Criticised Man in UK Property: How Samuel Leeds Made his Millions
Q: What would you like the headline to be about you in ten years if a journalist writes about you?
Honestly, I'd prefer a headline focusing on how I have helped more people become financially free in property than anyone else in history, reflecting impact rather than sensationalism.
The Most Criticised Man in UK Property: How Samuel Leeds Made his Millions
Q: What's the worst property investment you've ever made and how much did it cost you?
Riversford House cost around 3.5 million pounds and ultimately was a disappointment; the lesson was valuable and sharpened my risk assessment for future deals.
The Most Criticised Man in UK Property: How Samuel Leeds Made his Millions
Q: Has property become too expensive for the average person to build real wealth in the UK?
No—there are still pathways to build wealth through a mix of residential and commercial properties, government contracts, and leveraging education platforms, though it requires strategy and scale rather than simple luck.
The Most Criticised Man in UK Property: How Samuel Leeds Made his Millions
Q: What's the biggest myth people believe about your success that you've never corrected?
Many assume I earn vast sums purely from media, education, or YouTube; in reality, the core wealth comes from a blended ecosystem where education, deal flow, and lending interconnect, and I've corrected the idea that media alone makes me rich.
