  • Gave up

I gave up listening to an hour long podcast on the evolution of insurance after 20 minutes of small talk between the hosts. I want to listen to learn about the topic not to hear about how they worked at xyz and whether or not they deliver alcohol in some American town.

Claims Automation, AI Adoption & The Future of Adjusting
Q: Talk to me about what you've actually implemented in production with AI and how it's going.
The team started with predictive models and summarization tools that were initially non-integrated with the core systems. They learned that integration is essential for adoption and ROI, and they now focus on tools that can sit alongside the platform to automate document workflow, routing, and summarization, with the adjustment workflow still being the primary work surface for the adjusters.
AI Liability, Insurtech Innovation & The Future of Reinsurance | Freddie Scarratt (Gallagher Re) - Ep. 181
Q: Why did capital return to InsureTechs, and what changes enabled this shift?
Capital returned due to the emergence of specialist insurers and reinsurers who understand insurance risk, a focus on profitable growth rather than rapid scale, and a renewed confidence in InsureTech business models after the earlier hype and mispricing of risk.
AI Liability, Insurtech Innovation & The Future of Reinsurance | Freddie Scarratt (Gallagher Re) - Ep. 181
Q: What is AI liability and how does it fit within the broader digital risk category?
AI liability refers to the risk that advice or decisions generated by AI systems could cause harm or mislead, leading to liability for the deployer. It sits within a broader digital risk category that includes cyber and professional indemnity, requiring new underwriting frameworks and clear policy coverage.
