The format of Inside Out is simple - Jim Bennett is still on the inside of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Ian Wilks is on the outside of the Church. Yet both care about the Church and its future, and both want to see constructive dialogue between those who stay and those who leave. Hopefully, all of us can come to a better understanding of the Church and of each other.

I thought John Dehlin was the biggest LDS Church whiner until I started listening to this podcast. Bennett is the inside guy? Are you sure?
I’ve been listening consistently but the last episode about Elder Holland was stunningly bad and disappointing. To assert (without fact) that he basically gave his famous Book of Mormon talk, as a way to convince himself of the Book of Mormon’s truthfulness as weird and disappointing. To assert he gave talks that he didn’t believe in his own writing and spoke words. Why say things that are so wildly inflammatory and unsubstantiated?
I was thrilled when this podcast first started and eagerly looked forward to each new weekly episode. Finally—an honest and respectful space for real conversations about concerns in the church! I loved Ian’s story and have cheered for the guests who are trying to make things better, while also shedding tears for those who’ve been hurt by the organization. I’ve related to almost every guest you’ve had on.
But Jim, I just can’t with the politics anymore. And before you judge me (because I know yo... more

I also recently finished watching all 9 episodes of “An Inconvenient Faith” docuseries.
