Thought I could listen to this and ignore the casual misogyny. But I can’t. I can deal with his writing when it comes to the male characters… but WOW, his writing of the female characters?! Straight up misogyny. I gave up when the female epidemiologist got horny right before doing an autopsy and the author wrote her internal dialogue as needing to get her **hormones** under control. Men are always the “bigger person” in this show and it is seriously gross. The plot is engaging and the sci fi aspects and descriptions of the “intelligence” and tech are killer. But the obvious deep loathing for the female spirit gets worse over time

Like a written version of a Feast film with a touch of the Illuminatus trilogy. Listening to this I can envision how it would make a really visceral television s... more
