I don’t think having Dakich on after Coach Knight’s passing fits with most of the shows listeners

  • Was expecting more

I was expecting to get some great specific local content that you don’t get by listening the the ESPNs of the world, and while the content did meet my expectations, the lack of editing before posting is what lost my interest. Interviews where you here only the person being interviewed and not the question, or the questions but not the person answering left me like....what? Echoes from the hosts microphone that made it unbearable to listen to also didn’t help much. Not a long time listener, bu... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

7-22-26 Jim Coyle with Dylan Sinn, Chase Briscoe, and Coach Griff
Q: Chase, how would you describe the season so far and what are your expectations heading into Brickyard weekend?
Chase emphasizes the momentum built over the last few races, crediting the team's alignment and preparation at JGR, with optimism that the strong speed can translate into a strong Indy performance, while acknowledging the importance of pit strategy and staying focused under pressure.
7-14-26 Coach Griff with JD Campbell
Q: How would you assess Indiana's rising brand and its effect on recruiting and national perception?
Indiana's gains in brand awareness have dramatically improved recruiting potential and national visibility, allowing them to attract top talent and schedule high-profile games, which in turn reinforces their standing and fan engagement across the country.
7-14-26 Coach Griff with JD Campbell
Q: What are your thoughts on the potential 'super league' concept and its impact on college sports?
The idea would shrink a large, traditional landscape into a much smaller group, risking loss of diverse programs and fan bases; the balance of competition, revenue, and historical rivalries would be disrupted, and it is unlikely to be a straightforward path to increased wealth without serious unintended consequences.
6-11-26 Jim Coyle with Michael Elkins, Matt Taylor, Dustin Schutte, and Coach Grif
Q: Matt, when you get into these times, this period of time with Shane, what is his philosophy when you get these early practices and how guarded is the approach to avoid injury?
The approach is to balance urgency with careful, rule-abiding practice time; teams maximize efficiency in short sessions, focusing on mental prep, film, and tailored on-field periods within the CBA limits, all while avoiding unnecessary risk.
7-1-26 ISB Radio
Q: What are your thoughts on Notre Dame's 2026 schedule and its difficulty?
The schedule looks challenging in places, with BYU, Miami, and three Big Ten opponents on the slate; the late-season test against Miami stands out, and the overall scheduling dynamic could influence Notre Dame's playoff chances depending on how they perform early and manage the rest of the slate.
