for the longest time I thought I didn't care for this podcast very much because I didn't get completely hooked after the first season. and then season two came, and I'd genuinely be on the edge of my seat listening, especially for the second half of it. and even then, staring the last ep, I thought to myself "ok, finishing this, it was a nice experience, but *wink* no more than that"
and then I literally sobbed for 40 minutes straight. the finale completely obliterated me. I think I got so used... more
I have never listened to a podcast before, and have to say I wouldn't have if I didn't know the showrunner and some of the cast. I can honestly say I really enjoyed it. Very intriguing concept, strong characters and very well written. It takes an incredible amount of dedication and time to script, produce, cast, direct, and edit a show of this nature, and the fact Matt Wilson did all of that is incredible! There were times when the story slowed a bit, but the last few episodes have really brough... more
This is supposed to be in space, but that is poorly portrayed and not at all believable. The voice acting is ok as in it is a step above just reading a script but the dialogue is too simplistic to represent what is really happening. Add to this there is a lot of profanity that feels lazy and trying to hard to be edgy, this makes the characters sound stupid and not believable to the setting. This story and voice actors might have worked better in a college campus instead of in space. There is vir... more
Season Two has really knocked it out of the park. The first season is simple, but what really makes In Transit five stars for me is how it has upped its game as the sakes get higher. The world-building and characters are stellar, and the acting (especially by Faraday) is fantastic. Highly underrated podcast.
Season 2 has started so strong, I’m excited for the rest!!
Was recently introduced to the podcast by a friend and I think it’s brilliant! I’d never really tried listening to a story/radio-play style podcast before, but I think this may have converted me. It’s full of great characters and has a really unique concept - looking forward to the next episode!
Average sci-fi drama with some really annoying characters. Just started season 2 and no real improvement. 2.5 stars
Bingeable podcast with great writing, pacing, characterisation, and acting. Bring on season 2!
What I like about this murder mystery is the huge and yet easily understandable world building. I feel like I’ve been running around the ship with the characters like I’ve lived there myself, which makes it a lot of fun (you know, besides the murder part). I kinda wish the characters were a bit more likable but I understand this is a misfits coming together story and hope to warm up to them more!
Compelling story and good writing.
Right out the gate, everything about this premise is fascinating and the world building is conveyed with elegant efficiency. We learn very quickly that society on the Eurus started out as a more spartan society in Alecto’s pre-freezing time, but has subsequently added on luxuries, though what used to be the officer class, White, receives many more privileges than the the manual labor class, Red. From that, the show quickly establishes that Alecto has been thrown into a powder keg of resentments,... more
I'm loving this show so far! I seriously look forward to each episode so much!
I never normally listen to podcasts or audiobooks but this has changed my mind - it’s amazing! I can’t wait to find out what happens next! It’s really well written and the people playing the characters are great!!
Really enjoyed the first episode, the story grabs you from the start.
There's just one chapter out so far but this is AMAZING already.
All of the voice actors are great, the story is intriguing and I am already in love with Alecto!!
I cannot wait for more, listening to the first episode made me so so happy <3
