  • Disappointed

The latest episode Feb 13 2026 about resteraunts felt like a 16 min pitch. Not sure if it was the content or the delivery. Felt like sales not a conversation.

The topics are deliberately chosen to magnify negativity. This is not a balanced podcast — not even close. Right for sure. 😉

  • New hosts?

I really like this show, but have found the new hosts skew older (and a little more AM radio) than Jordan. I miss the millennial relatability!

  • Used to Love, Host Change unfortunate

Not sure away decision was made to remove Jordan as the host of this show but not enjoying the vibe of the new host. Show used to have a much more conversational, every person feel and now feels more technical. Also doesn’t have the same warmth. No longer a regular listener.

How did Canada get into an economic slump?
Q: What do you see as the most positive signs in the economy right now?
Gleaned positives include ongoing metal prices strength and relative resilience in some commodity sectors, but Rosenberg stresses that these are limited in scope and don't meaningfully lift overall GDP or per-capita growth.
Being single is more expensive than you think
Q: So what's the broad takeaway you want readers or listeners to walk away with?
The takeaway is that there are many single people and their lifestyle should be considered a policy benchmark; if cities can be affordable for singles, they can be affordable for families too, and there are practical housing models and policies that can help singles navigate the cost of living.
Deal or no Deal? How U.S. Trade talks will determine Canada's 2026 economy
Q: Are all forecasts for this year predicated on whether or not there's a trade deal, or could outcomes differ significantly if negotiations fail?
If negotiations fall apart, the macro outlook could be radically different for all three economies, with higher uncertainty, potential shocks to growth, and a likely re-pricing of risk across currencies and asset markets; conversely, a deal would support a more stable baseline.
Deal or no Deal? How U.S. Trade talks will determine Canada's 2026 economy
Q: Do you think we're actually going to see a three-way deal again, or is it better to go bilateral and deal with each country separately?
There is a view that a three-party NAFTA/CUSMA framework has strategic value, but there remains the potential for bilateral negotiations if executability or political dynamics push toward separate deals with the US and either Canada or Mexico, with ongoing tensions and incentives to modernize.
Deal or no Deal? How U.S. Trade talks will determine Canada's 2026 economy
Q: Does this imply we should build more domestic supply and look for other markets rather than relying on the United States, even if Venezuelan supply doesn't come on stream immediately?
The guest argues that diversification—both in energy supply and trade partners—will be key, suggesting Canada should pursue domestic capacity and explore alternative markets while recognizing that long-standing supply chains and near-term constraints will shape how quickly diversification can materialize.
