  • Disappointed

The latest episode Feb 13 2026 about resteraunts felt like a 16 min pitch. Not sure if it was the content or the delivery. Felt like sales not a conversation.

  • Negative Nelly

The topics are deliberately chosen to magnify negativity. This is not a balanced podcast — not even close. Right for sure. 😉

  • New hosts?

I really like this show, but have found the new hosts skew older (and a little more AM radio) than Jordan. I miss the millennial relatability!

  • Used to Love, Host Change unfortunate

Not sure away decision was made to remove Jordan as the host of this show but not enjoying the vibe of the new host. Show used to have a much more conversational, every person feel and now feels more technical. Also doesn’t have the same warmth. No longer a regular listener.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Stable coin: The future of money?
Q: What are the privacy concerns and how is regulation shaping the space in Canada?
Privacy concerns around a CBDC drive privacy worries, which is why many prefer a competitive landscape with regulated private issuers; Canada employs Know Your Customer and Enhanced Checks to curb illicit activity while supporting a safe crypto exchange environment.
Stable coin: The future of money?
Q: Are consumers going to need stablecoins for day-to-day use, or is this mainly for big players and remittances?
Stablecoins are gradually moving into everyday use through remittances, online shopping, and cross-border transfers; for now, many transactions remain rooted in traditional currencies, but 24/7 transfers and merchant acceptance (e.g., Shopify accepting USDC) are expanding consumer-facing use.
Stable coin: The future of money?
Q: Wouldn't it make more sense for central banks to issue these as a CBDC instead of private issuers?
Canada studied the idea and concluded Canadians preferred a private-issuer model over a centralized CBDC, mainly due to concerns about privacy and competition, though regulators ensure KYC and enhanced checks on platforms like Coinbase to prevent bad actors.
Stable coin: The future of money?
Q: Can you just give us the 101 on what exactly is a stable coin?
A stable coin is a cryptocurrency that functions like a digital dollar, with one unit typically backed one-to-one by cash and short-dated Treasuries held by a regulated issuer, making its value relatively stable compared to other volatile cryptos.
How will the massive spending cuts being proposed by Ottawa impact you?
Q: If they're talking about this kind of change from spending and savings, is it any surprise really that they don't exactly know how this is all going to frame up yet?
The guest suggests that the government is laying groundwork for a multi-year reform and that the budgeting frame will become clearer as the process unfolds, with major changes anticipated but details still in flux.
