  • Great theology

I have been listening to Janet Parshall for over 10 years now, she really helped shaped my theology and open my eyes to the crisis in the Middle East. Her reminder to have the Bible in one hand and newspaper in the other is very prevalent and Janet’s show provides quality guests, great commentary, and encouragement for Christians around the world. I listen to many podcasts now, but no one feels like home like in the market with Janet Parshall.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Energy and Imagination
Q: Talk to me about why you wrote this particular piece, that even if you're a materialistic evolutionist, I think the onus is going to be on you to say they're little green men out there, because where are you going to start your story?
Luskin argues that extraterrestrial life would not disprove religion but would challenge materialistic evolution, shifting the burden of proof to proponents of evolution and emphasizing the need for a first cause.
Energy and Imagination
Q: I have to ask you, the compelling part of your journey, why you would not only get a hefty amount of degrees dealing with science, but you also went into the law.
Casey Luskin explains his path combining science and law, motivated by defending academic freedom and understanding how scientific arguments play out in public policy and education.
Hijacking Jesus
Q: Can you explain how progressive Christianity redefines Jesus, and how you address these three reinvented images in your framework?
Progressive Christianity tends to cast Jesus as a Jewish mystic, a woke teacher, or a revolutionary figure; the book systematically refutes these portrayals by comparing them to canonical gospel accounts, historical corroboration, and orthodox theology to reaffirm traditional views of Jesus's identity and work.
Hijacking Jesus
Q: Why did you feel it necessary to break down the assault on core cornerstone orthodoxy in your book?
The breakdown is necessary because progressive Christianity challenges foundational doctrines—such as Jesus's divinity, miracles, and resurrection—through a mix of historical reinterpretation and modern rhetoric, which can mislead believers without clear, biblically grounded defenses.
Incurable Faith
Q: What is the central message of Incurable Faith and how does it help people dealing with long-term illness?
Andrea explains that true life and abundance come from Christ, not from health or circumstances, and that lament and worship are tools to endure suffering while remaining connected to God's grace and purpose.
