  • Eric’s faith brings hope

The Eric Metaxas Show is intelligent and fun to listen to. In these darker days with jacobins “protesting” in the streets Eric’s faith reminds me who we are in Christ, and brings hope.

  • You’re so funny

I was at Yale 74. I worked my husband was a student. There was a Catholic Church on campus. The Decon a woman helped me get a divorce. I’ve read many of your books. You have a gift from God, the way you put words together it’s like watching a famous painter paint. It’s fine art the the way you thoughtfully put your words together. Just that alone makes it an adventure in reading your books . I’m the opposite, thank you l have enjoyed reading your books! Diana

  • Find the balance

So many great guests and topics but Eric, please, enough with the Tucker and Candace stuff. Speak against antisemitism and other lies

w/o this “he said this about me or my book” kind of stuff. It cheapens your show to do that in almost every episode.

  • They are all drunk on a spirit of some ancient kind |>

I was a security officer (or what is called a bouncer) for 10 years in the top nightclubs of Sydney Australia and I’ve seen a lot of people drunk…

These folk like Candice and Tucker and all the other folk who are hostile to Israel are drunk… On a spirit that has hated everything about Man from the very beginning and they simply don’t know it.

I think you totally get it Erik, but most Christians I listen to just don’t seem to understand that it’s really honestly that simple… It’s the spirit they... more

#175 - Rod Martin
Q: What is the best place for folks to find you online?
Rod Martin directs listeners to rodmartin.org and mentions his X account, emphasizing accessible channels for his geopolitical analysis and updates.
#165 - John Zmirak
Q: What was your Africa trip like, and what stood out to you the most?
John describes close encounters with wildlife, the cultural and political reflections sparked by the trip, and experiences like a leopard devouring an impala, which he uses to contrast natural wonder with human cultural debates.
#171 - Nathaniel Philbrick
Q: How do you balance telling an exciting narrative with presenting complex historical dynamics like loyalty, ambition, and betrayal in the Revolution?
The key is focusing on characters as real people with passions and flaws, while anchoring their choices to the larger structural shifts of the era. The drama becomes a vehicle to explore how ideas about liberty and governance matured under pressure.
#171 - Nathaniel Philbrick
Q: What drew you to write three books about the American Revolution, and how did you approach structuring them around Washington's arc?
I wanted to follow Washington's evolution as a way to explain how a distant rebellion could mature into a nation. Each book traces a phase of his development—military leadership, political leadership, and the broader arc of events—so readers can see the transformation from a military figure to a statesman who understood the long-term republic.
#149 - Jerry Newcombe
Q: What is the central premise of Jefferson and the God Who Gave Us Liberty?
The central premise is that Jefferson, though having some theological views, did not advocate for a naked public square; rather, he operated within a framework where religion and God-based rights undergirded the republic and its liberty.
