  • Preserving judicial independence…

    Excellent show!

I think better than term limits for the Supreme Court would be a mandatory age of retirement. This would in fact work for all of Congress as well.

We have a minimum age requirements to run for office including the Executive branch. Why not have a maximum age of retirement?

Ex., if the mandatory age for retirement was 70 and someone was running for office at 68 years old and their term was more than two years, they would be unable to run or alternatively, they could run up to ... more

  • Great content..however

    The information presented is great.

I stopped listening awhile back due to my frustration with Tims constantly rambling on and repeating himself reducing the reach of the show leading to too many unnecessary multi part episodes.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How States And Congress Are Reclaiming Religious Liberty - with Jason Monks
Q: What would be the evidence that the Lord has answered the prayer in this context, and how would you recognize that in policy change or attitude?
The guest suggests that evidence of divine guidance appears in a shift toward humility, patience, wiser decision-making, and a more civil approach to disagreements, rather than dramatic external signs; it is framed as personal transformation and improved governance that aligns with moral and constitutional principles.
The Real Story Behind Presidential Term Limits
Q: Why exactly are presidential term limits in place? Should it be the people's right to vote someone in as many times as they want?
The hosts discuss the rationale behind the 22nd Amendment, contrasting fears of a leader overstaying their power with a belief in the people's ability to decide, while noting historical precedents and media dynamics that have shaped the presidency.
Tennessee’s Push To Reclaim Marriage Law - With Gino Bulso
Q: What are the broader constitutional arguments behind challenging Obergefell at the state level?
The hosts argue that marriage policy should be decided state-by-state and that federal overreach via the Supreme Court undermines the constitutional structure, favoring checks and balances and state sovereignty over nationwide policy dictated by courts.
Tennessee’s Push To Reclaim Marriage Law - With Gino Bulso
Q: How does HB 1472 relate to Bostock and the broader scope of anti-discrimination laws?
HB 1472 aims to ensure Tennessee's anti-discrimination laws are not interpreted in a way that incorporates Bostock's expansion of protected classes to include sexual orientation and gender identity, thereby preserving state-level exemptions for religious or conscience-based practices.
Tennessee’s Push To Reclaim Marriage Law - With Gino Bulso
Q: Can you explain what HB 1473 does in practical terms for private citizens and businesses in Tennessee?
HB 1473 states that Obergefell and its interpretation do not bind private citizens or private businesses, thereby limiting the reach of same-sex marriage mandates to state action and allowing individuals and private entities to operate according to their religious or conscience-based beliefs.
