  • How is this all we have for softball?

Softball coverage isn’t great in general. Cookie cutter interviews with surface level answers that they recite over and over again. “I knew my team had my back.” Nonsense like that is most of every interview in this sport. But In the Circle is among the worst overall.

Their commentary is unintelligent and uninteresting. Their interviews are plain and have zero depth. They take no chance to ask detailed, interesting questions that only the coaches or players they interview could answer. You have... more

  • What are you doing!!

I really want to like this podcast and support you guys because you support college softball but taking half the show to talk about press box size and a weather man! Interview with another broadcaster and asking about how she felt calling games? That’s something you do in season not right after Regionals!! Talk about the teams and the players. Tell us what team had the best batting average, which team won with defense, which players carried the teams! You said nothing about how the games actuall... more

Still Getting Used to Saying Coach Cagle
Q: How did the transition into coaching begin for you?

Still Getting Used to Saying Coach Cagle
Q: What led you to retire from playing softball?
Valerie explained that the decision came in October 2025 after a long period of reflection, feeling ready to close the playing chapter while continuing to stay connected to the game through coaching. She wanted to finish on her own terms and make space for a new focus, including her role at Furman and her family considerations.
Welcome Back to Waco Coach Fuller
Q: How are you approaching the transfer portal and building pitching depth?
She outlines targeting two to three versatile pitchers with strong arsenals, leveraging connections from Northwestern State, and ensuring new pieces mesh with the existing staff and defensive coaching.
Welcome Back to Waco Coach Fuller
Q: What has it been like to return to Baylor and join the coaching staff?
Fuller describes it as surreal and meaningful, emphasizing a strong sense of home and gratitude for the opportunity to learn from Coach Moore while contributing to Baylor's culture and program.
Welcome Back Coach T
Q: What was your coaching philosophy when you joined the Bandits and how did it translate to MSU?
I recruit pitchers for their existing skills and then refine them rather than forcing a single method; the goal is to help each pitcher discover and maximize their best traits while teaching how to use them in combination with teammates. This philosophy translates across programs by emphasizing development, adaptability, and trust in the system.
