  • Very cool listen

Really cool podcast to listen to, you get to hear new artists and old artists and the inside stories that you would usually never hear about that artist. How the music industry is such a grind and how dirty it can be. If you are a fan of music or looking to get into this line of work, it’s a must listen. Plus Eric and Stephen either making fun of eachother or hearing the artists they have toured with

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Why Everyone’s Talking About Halie Ridge’s Country Girl Summer | In The Blind Ep. 72
Q: How did Songland come about for you and what did it mean for your career?
Halie talks about unexpectedly being discovered through Songland, the LA call that happened quickly, and how the experience helped propel her toward a Martina McBride cut and greater momentum, even as she wrestled with personal challenges.
Dave Fenley: The Voice, Opry Debut & The Nashville Grind | In The Blind Ep. 68
Q: What role did AI and technology play in your recent recording process?
I used AI to reimagine some pop-country songs as soul versions, which helped me explore new interpretations while keeping a sense of authenticity. It was a tool, not a shortcut, to expand creative possibilities without diluting my voice.
Dave Fenley: The Voice, Opry Debut & The Nashville Grind | In The Blind Ep. 68
Q: How did you initially break into Nashville and land major opportunities?
I moved from Texas to Nashville after learning to play guitar and building a local audience, which led to indie success and eventually touring with Miranda Lambert and Dirks Bentley, followed by broader opportunities that showed me there are many paths to reach listeners.
The Future of Suppressors? Josh Hood of LayerX Suppresion Spills All | In The Blind Ep. 67
Q: How did you get into building suppressors?
Josh Hood explains his path from Remington to AAC, then to founding LayerX Suppression, driven by a desire to avoid corporate rigidity and to pursue hands-on design and rapid iteration.
Can the McBee Dynasty Survive Without Dad? Steven McBee Jr. On Season 3 | In The Blind Ep. 66
Q: How do producers influence the storylines and character arcs?
Producers ask about current life events and follow the trajectory of the family, but the brothers insist on imperfect authenticity and allow cameras into both good times and rocky moments to reflect real life.
