I’ve been in a PMDD relationship for 2 years and only aware of it for about 1 year. I found this podcast today. My partner mentioned that in one of her 2 therapy sessions that she had early on that they discussed PMDD lightly. It was dismissed and never spoke about again but I never forgot it. We had issues early on and I had been in therapy already for over a year prior. So I made the suggestion she try. It was short lived. Fast forward 2 yrs My therapy sessions have become vent sessions that I... more
I love how she views both sides and not just the PMDD sufferer and the toll if can take on the relationships. I love the details as well because it acknowledges the partner’s experience and that they are human. I did not know how to feel because I tried so hard to accommodate to the point where I didn’t know what was my issue, what what was pmdd and what was my partner. It became very confusing. All though some episodes are harsh truth it lets me know that what I experienced was real.
Im a partner and finally got in contact with you. These resources are amazing! And very helpful I’m excited to do the private sessions very soon!
Thank you so much for sharing this valuable information!!
Where to begin…Pretty much every single thing Rose brings up is exactly what I have experienced and am experiencing. Relationships take the toll with PMDD and before this podcast I haven’t seen any resources that actually focus on this. I love the practical steps she offers to show compassion for our partners walking through this with us. Thank you for what you do Rose!!
