  • Informative but can improve further.

The podcast provides a detailed and multidimensional discussion on various topics. My only problem is that the guest speakers use a lot of abbreviations and jargon, which can be hard to comprehend if the listener is not familiar with the topic in depth. A more lucid diction would be helpful.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

In Focus-Parley | Are traditional parties unable to understand the grammar of Gen Z politics?
Q: Will this movement coalesce into an actual political party with electoral presence?
The guests argue that while it may evolve into a political force, the immediate identity is more about a broad, issue-based platform or forum that represents younger voices rather than a traditional party structure.
In Focus-Parley | Are traditional parties unable to understand the grammar of Gen Z politics?
Q: Do you think traditional parties are succeeding in connecting with the Gen Z? And what do you think they are failing at doing in their approach?
The panel suggests that while engagement is heard in broad terms, the real gaps are in listening and conversing with young people, using platforms they actually use, and moving beyond one-way messaging to address the deeper concerns about jobs, education, and dignity.
Do metro cities have space for pedestrians?
Q: What are the biggest obstacles to making footpaths functional and safe?
Key obstacles include lack of design standards for pedestrian spaces, poor implementation and coordination among agencies, and the need to integrate parking management, vendor encroachment, and last-mile services into a cohesive, people-centric street design.
Do metro cities have space for pedestrians?
Q: Do you see anything fundamentally wrong with the way metro cities define road?
Yes. The core issue is treating walking as an afterthought rather than a fundamental right, with road design prioritizing vehicles and infrastructure over pedestrian needs, which undermines last-mile connectivity and safety.
Three common medicines have been declared carcinogenic. What does this mean for patients?
Q: How does over-the-counter access complicate the risk landscape in India?
OTC availability can lead to misuse and inappropriate exposure to potent medicines; policies encouraging prescription-based access help prevent antimicrobial resistance and unintended cancer-related risks from inappropriate use.
