保育議題一定嚴肅得令人卻步？當然不！透過玩偶、吊飾、貼紙、T恤、頸枕、雨傘……等生態周邊小物，保育NGO們正試圖用更有溫度的方式，把台灣豐富的生物多樣性，悄悄塞進你的日常生活裡。

草鴞，是台灣唯一棲息於草原的猛禽。牠最愛的棲地，就是高度大約至成人腰部，以白茅草為主的短草環境。然而，這類平原草地經常面臨到開發壓力，導致草鴞棲地持續縮減。這也讓我們反思，該如何在在水泥森林之外，為牠們留下一片能安穩棲息的草地？

2022年，科博館科學教育組主任楊子睿率領的研究團隊於恆春頭溝挖掘出全長超過15公尺，完整度高達7成的灰鯨化石，其規模與完整性堪稱台灣之最，更是還原冰河時期台灣海洋生態的關鍵線索。為了向大眾分享這項重大科研成果，科博館特別舉辦「鯨掘」特展，透過跨領域的策展形式，帶領觀眾認識此具灰鯨化石的發現、挖掘與清修，並延伸探討了台灣鯨豚的自然史、文化脈絡與當代海洋環境。
