近年台灣接連面臨多起災難事件，從去年0403花蓮大地震，到今年7月初的丹娜斯颱風、9月下旬馬太鞍溪堰塞湖溢流，大自然的無常一次次向我們示警。當災害發生時，真正能撐住社區的，往往不是大型救援系統，而是平時就在你我身邊的「防災士」。
什麼是防災士？簡單來說，防災士就是最貼近家庭與社區的防災種子。民眾必須完成內政部規劃的課程，包括災害風險認知、居家安全措施、社區防災工作、避難收容所規劃、急救術科實作等，共15小時課程，並通過學科與術科測驗，才能取得證書。這些訓練讓他們在災難發生時不只是自救，更能挺身... more
追蹤訊號靜止了……
9月底，台灣猛禽研究會追蹤的黑鳶「金桔」出現訊號異常。當研究人員循著GPS點位前往基隆七堵山區察看時，迎接他們的卻是令人心碎的畫面。一整面巨型鳥網橫跨山頭，連綿數百公尺，金桔與另外3隻黑鳶等距掛在網上，已無生命跡象。
基隆港是全台最容易近距離看見黑鳶覓食的地方，而牠們夜棲的地點之一，正是鳥網架設的七堵山區。這次掛網事件，造成將近1%的北部黑鳶族群死亡，是極大的傷害。更令人震驚的是，鳥網拆除不到一週，同一位置竟然又出現了全新的鳥網！

街頭的浪犬浪貓，是城市裡既柔軟又悲傷的風景。看到這樣的景象，許多人不忍心，默默為牠們提供食物。然而，這份善意，卻可能讓遊蕩動物問題更加棘手。
今年夏天，接連傳出遊蕩犬隻攻擊人與野生動物的事件。七月底，一名七旬老翁在海邊游泳時遭流浪犬群攻擊，不幸身亡；緊接著，梅花鹿在馬頭山被流浪犬圍獵致死。這兩起事件有一個共通點，就是這些地區都有人長期餵食浪犬。讓人不禁提出疑問，為什麼愛護浪犬的好意，最終會演變成對人與野生動物的致命威脅？

台灣體格最壯、體重最重的猛禽——熊鷹，因棲息於深山密林、滯空時間短、族群稀少，成為最難觀察、最神祕的台灣猛禽之一。台灣猛禽研究會（以下簡稱猛禽會）於10月31日在草山猛禽中心推出「熊鷹－尋．閃現長空的白羽」特展，集結多方累積的珍貴資料，帶領觀眾一窺這群「閃現長空」的白色身影。
展覽內容融合屏東科技大學孫元勳教授的研究成果、導演梁皆得的影像紀錄，以及猛禽會的調查與救傷資料，完整呈現熊鷹的名稱、外觀辨識特徵，並揭露牠們獨特的獵食行為，同時透過追蹤研究與巢位直播畫面，生動還原熊鷹的棲息樣貌。
