位於宜蘭縣員山鄉的雙連埤，過去曾被譽為「水草天堂」。這片湖泊曾孕育全國三分之一以上的原生水生植物，是極為珍貴的生態寶庫。但在大約30年前，因人為引入吳郭魚、草魚等外來種魚類，水草逐漸被啃蝕殆盡，湖泊的生物多樣性也受到嚴重衝擊。
為了挽救這片珍貴的濕地，荒野保護協會（以下簡稱荒野）長期投入復育與調查工作，2024年起，更展開定期移除外來種魚類的工作。

在台灣的草原與農地間，棲息著一種獨特且稀有的夜行性猛禽──草鴞。牠是台灣唯一生存在草地上的猛禽，也是重要的指標物種。可惜的是，隨著土地開發、棲地破碎化，以及老鼠藥的威脅，草鴞的生存正面臨嚴峻考驗。
走進高雄路竹科學園區的一隅，這裡有一塊由高雄鳥會認養的草鴞棲地，實際營造面積約7公頃。原本這片土地生長著巴西乳香、美洲含羞草、小花蔓澤蘭等外來植物，2021年鳥會接手後，經由同仁與志工的持續營造，如今已長出大片適合草鴞繁殖的白茅草。即使鄰近區域仍有著廠房和高壓電塔等設施環伺，這片綠地仍展現出驚人的保... more
台灣歷史最久的環境藝術祭「關渡國際自然藝術季」，今年即將於9月14日起在關渡自然公園登場，並持續至12月31日，迎來具有紀念意義的20週年！
25年來，由台北鳥會認養經營的關渡自然公園，以棲地保育與環境教育作為核心工作，為民眾守護淡水河畔的重要濕地生態，成果已獲得國際獎項肯定。而「關渡國際自然藝術季」則成為其中的一環，讓藝術成為推廣與連結自然的方式。

你相信，在都市水泥叢林中，也能看見螢火蟲飛舞嗎？位於台北市中心、最精華地段的大安森林公園，讓這項看似不可能的夢想，化為真實。
這段故事，要從馬明潭古濕地（今永建國小現址）的保育行動開始說起。2012年，台大昆蟲系名譽教授楊平世，聯合郭城孟、陳文山、林博雄、張文亮等教授，共同倡議保存馬明潭古濕地。他們說服了地主與校方，最終成功保護了一半的濕地；楊平世教授更率領團隊在此展開螢火蟲復育。
