春夏是野生動物的繁殖季，也是野灣野生動物保育協會最忙碌的時候。
幼鳥學飛落巢、修冷氣時發現裡頭有麻雀築巢、颱風前修樹割草驚擾了正在育雛的親鳥……每年這個季節，野生動物通報、救援的案件明顯增加。野灣照養課課長廖朝盛指出，送來的動物裡，有一些是民眾出於善意先帶回家飼養了一陣子，最後才轉交過來的，只是這份好心，卻不一定是牠們需要的幫助。

我們對海灘垃圾的印象，常常是什麼都有、雜亂無章，彷彿怎麼撿也撿不完。但台南社大環境小組研究員晁瑞光，從20年來的淨灘紀錄裡發現，台南海岸看似五花八門的垃圾，其實集中在少數幾個來源。換句話說，只要找到問題的源頭，海灘垃圾並非完全無解。
