I like the content of this podcast (you truly deserve 5 stars for that) but the speakers interrupt each other in a very excessive manner. I suggest the first speaker (?Ed) mute the second speaker’s mic (?Todd) until it’s his turn to speak!
I’m a practicing intensivist and listened to +30 episodes in a couple of weeks; unfortunately because of annoying interruptions and comments from the second speaker (who otherwise have great insight into these major articles~ but only 10% of his comments); for... more
Excellent content and some below average humour. Truly, this is a highlight to my every second week when a new show comes out. Thanks for the good work and chuckle!
Recommended this podcast recently by a colleague. As a new consultant balancing work and family I love listening to this on my commute. Intelligent and thoughtful analysis but also really grounded in real life medicine which ultimately is what it’s all about! Thanks for re-igniting my research interest, really appreciate all the work that goes into making this.
Absolutely fantastic podcast! The hosts dive into some of the biggest trials in our field and always have terrific insights about strengths, limitations and implications for practice. They are also hilarious and make me laugh out loud on the way to work. Highly recommend!
Fantastic podcast overall. I enjoy the witty banter between the two hosts and the light hearted commentary especially the “grading” of the article names. Amidst the lightheartedness, is an amazing and insightful review of key articles in critical care. I enjoy that they’ve started including guest clinicians to discuss the articles and I hope that continues!

Two critical care experts break down intensive care trials, discuss emerging guidelines, and translate complex research into bedside takeaways. Episodes cover trial design, evidence strength, and practical decision-making, often with light banter and occasional guests from the fields of nephrology, cardiology, and critical care. Highlights include method-focused discussions, real-world applicability, and a mix of clinical critique with accessible analysis, making it helpful for clinicians, researchers, and sponsors seeking thoughtful, evidence-based ICU content. A notable trait is the informal, practitioner-centered approach that blends rigorous critique with practical anecdotes and sponsor parodies for levity.
