Stumbled across this podcast whilst spending most of today on tHReads… I listen to podcasts daily & have listened to a bunch on Heated Rivalry. Most good, some bad (one REALLY bad) but rarely do I click immediately with the hosts!

Two Irish hosts explore a rotating roster of media hyperfixations through candid, fans-first conversations. Recent episodes skew heavily toward romance-focused storytelling in TV and books, with a particular emphasis on queer representation, fandom culture, cross-media storytelling, and behind-the-scenes craft. The show combines enthusiastic fan perspectives with meta commentary on pacing, production choices, and the social impact of fan communities. A standout characteristic is the playful, spoiler-averse yet deeply analytical approach that often weaves in personal anecdotes about fandom, production, and the way media shapes real-world conversations and etiquette within fan communities.
