I always get something new and insightful that I had either not thought of or ‘forgotten’ when it comes to the principles of money. There seems to be a ‘stigma’ of shame around having financial struggles and likely drives denial ie more avoidance/spending = more $$ hardship. Makes no sense
The roles of the hosts is a good contrast - Michael, ‘devils advocate’ represents the uninformed when it comes to everyday finances for everyday people. Canaṉ, the expert guide who’s straight talking common s... more
I’ve given up on this podcast after the episode on financial goals in 2026 - I can’t listen to Canna’s bullying of Michael any longer. She has always been demeaning and unnecessarily argumentative with him, but in this episode she labels his thinking ‘pathetic’ and says she needs to ‘shut it down’. Is this how she speaks to her financial planning clients? God help them. I don’t need this toxic energy in my life - unsubscribed.
Love the straight forward advice but the way Canna talks to Michael is hard to listen to and I’ve stopped listening because I can’t bare it.

For those of us living in the real world through multiple financial crisis that don’t have the luxury of millions of dollars like Canna, I appreciate all of Michael’s real life, relatable, every day tips and tricks. It is far more relatable than, for example, tell... more
