Trite and unfunny.
I’ve been a listener from the very start. This is the very first podcast Ive ever listened to (and somehow I’m only now reviewing it. Sorry!) I’ve since become a huge fan of podcasts and it all started here. Would I be listening non-stop to podcasts today if this one hadn’t charmed me so much way back when? Who can tell! In any case, Al and Paul are great and I still love „House to Astonish“ after all this time!
These two have a great chemistry as they talk about the goings on in the comic industry. Definitely worth a listen!
I could spend hours listening to Paul and Al go on about comics, and have. Interesting insights, invaluable knowledge, and mostly-polite criticisms—they’re not afraid to scrape their knuckles—can be found in each entertaining episode. What they say always comes from a place of knowing. Respect. My only gripe is the wait for more.
As a bit of a part-time comic book reader, I’ve always been a little scared to dip my toe into the big mainstream comics, especially when Batman is on issue 8 million and Spider-Man is currently on part 23 of 64. HtA helps guide you to the good stuff without assuming decades of comics knowledge and awareness. more
