This week, season 4 of "Rock the Block" came to a close and a new winning team was crowned. After six grueling weeks of construction and creativity, the fireworks flew and one duo of HGTV stars learned they had designed the best home on the block. Th... more
On the penultimate episode of "Rock the Block" Season 4, the teams set their sights and renovation budgets on their home exteriors. This week, they're tasked with overhauling the house siding, landscaping, backyard, and patio.
But, host Ty Penningto... more
Imagine having 1,500 square feet of walkout basement space to design to your heart's content. Would it be dedicated to family time, entertaining guests, or cultivating your physical and mental health? That was the big decision the four teams of HGTV ... more
When designing (or dreaming about) the ideal main suite of a home, the goal is to cultivate a space that is comfortable and functional. On this week's episode of "Rock the Block," all four teams passed this test with flying colors. Every main suite i... more
I feel like they lack substance to their non-tv reviewing episodes and the episodes all over the place. I don’t care which celebrity bought or sold a home. Loved the conversational nature of this pod and the interviews and behind the scenes details. This is my favorite subject matter. I’ll continue to listen.
I really enjoy listening because in every podcast there is a learning theme. Vinegar was my go to cleaner, not anymore. I particularly enjoy decorating ideas ins/outs of today’s ideas. Is square footage really a tool to price a home? Look forward to next episode. Our friends parents had several (too many) Coca Cola memorabilia in their house. Funny about Michigan guy!! That was fun listening, great one!! Final 2020 episode was fantastic! Look forward listening in 2021. Natalie and Rachel have gr... more
Love hearing about wins and losses, and good interviews.
I found this via Nick Quah at Vulture’s podcast newsletter and I’m so glad he recommended it because it’s exactly the 2021 entertainment I was looking for. The hosts are great (winnowing down to the two current hosts from the original four was a smart move) and play off of each other well; and the content is fun, easy listening, with some useful real estate and design info sprinkled in.
