  • The best local sports show, period. BUT… it often gets political

This pod is essential if you follow NDSU sports. He often asks questions that would not be allowed on NDSU radio (Bison 1660). Routinely gets excellent guests, and offers air time to a lot of sports and stories that don’t get attention (high school sports etc). I listen to this show almost every single day.

My one gripe is that his comments during the pandemic were certifiably unhinged and deliberately dishonest. I followed him because of how good his coverage is (and it is) and that he was lit... more

  • Too much partisan yelling

Used to love Dom but then he started yelling for hours about masks...”if we would just wear masks, we could have a season”.....well now look at Europe who supposedly did it so much better than we did. Too political for me, if I want that there are hundreds of political pods

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

6/12/26 - Cory Provus, Dom's Dad, Darren Wolfson
Q: What are Cory Provus's thoughts on the Twins' weekend series against the Cardinals and potential rosters moves?
Provus emphasizes the need for depth in the rotation, discusses Taj Bradley's command issues, and notes that Royce Lewis's position flexibility and Batting order adjustments are part of the team's evolving strategy.
6/10/2026: Drew Trafton, Zach McGlynn, and Brad Schlossman
Q: What event did you go in?
Focusing on the decathlon, Zach explains he was initially placed into multi-events late in his high school career, then gradually specialized but eventually embraced the multi-event approach, leading to national-level success.
6/8/2026: Tom Miller, Jeff Kolpack, and Riley Sunram
Q: What did you make of the bigger picture of NCAA enforcement versus how other schools have faced similar issues?
Kolpack and Miller discuss the sense that UND may have been picked on or that the NCAA's actions reflect a larger, inconsistent enforcement landscape where different programs experience different consequences for similar actions.
6/8/2026: Tom Miller, Jeff Kolpack, and Riley Sunram
Q: How do you interpret the probation and the seven-day recruiting communications ban for UND moving forward?
Miller explains that probation is a monitoring period rather than a severe punishment, and that the seven-day ban is significant but does not make UND ineligible for postseason; the real impact is on communication with recruits and the potential chilling effect on recruiting.
6/8/2026: Tom Miller, Jeff Kolpack, and Riley Sunram
Q: Tom, give me your perspective when you heard about this coming Friday and what you expected to find in the NCAA report.
Tom Miller describes catching wind of an announcement and then analyzing the NCAA's detailed report, noting that the self-reported nature of UND's actions and the lack of broader context, especially compared to other schools, shaped how he interpreted the penalties.
