  • Pleasant Surprise that has moved to the top of my podcast rotation

Recently moved up to SF in July and I had only known of John Gaskins as Harry Canary (great bobblehead) and I recently learned he does podcasts too on top of Dakota News Now! As an Iowan we had a couple radio shows/podcasts that covered area sports at all levels and I am very glad I found this one. I consume both Happy Hour and Nobody’s Listening Anyway now. Thank you John, keep up the good work, see ya at The Birdcage!

Q: So what do you make of him cracking the lineup, him being in that role?
The discussion centered on Dosumnu taking over ball-handling duties and becoming a primary playmaker, with questions about fit next to Ant and how much of a true point guard role he can handle, plus expectations for his development.
FULL SHOW: Ben Leber (Vikings analyst) and Patrick Lalley's mayoral runoff preview
Q: Have you been able to decipher differences between Christine Erickson and Jamie Smith based on their discussions and leadership images?

Q: What was your strategy for putting together this new roster from square one after such turnover?
We focused on a mix of high school newcomers and key transfers, evaluated fit and character rigorously, and used systematic practice standings to ensure players earned their roles rather than expecting them. The goal was to balance talent with culture, pace, and the ability to adapt to the team's evolving identity.
