I first found this podcast last year when I was unexpectedly tossed into the world of homeschooling, a path I had never planned to be on. But when I needed to remove my oldest kiddo from his public school, I went looking for ideas and support. This year, was my first homeschooling two learners and I found myself in constant need for reassurance, ideas, and a pair of calm friendly voices! Listening to this podcast feels like a weekly coffee date with another homeschool parent/friend. Thanks so mu... more
I really appreciate a couple doing a homeschool podcast together. It’s great to hear the love and joy in their relationship! Really helpful info about game schooling, curriculum and miscellaneous homeschool info. I want to be their friend, lol.
This podcast helped my husband and I find the courage to take the leap into homeschooling last year when we didn’t really know where to start. We feel well supported now in our journey knowing that others have paved the road before us and there are resources out there for the inevitable moments of uncertainty. Thank you Matt and Arial for being a friendly touchstone for our family!
It’s so great to have a solid secular homeschool podcast! I love all of the curriculum reviews and the interviews with real homeschoolers! It’s super helpful seeing other people’s day/week in the life and all the ways that homeschool can look and how to troubleshoot things. My kiddos are kinder, 3.5, and 1 and it’s great to hear from people who are further down the road but still in the thick of it.
I’ve been listening for a while and have gotten so much out of this podcast. Everything from very detailed reviews of secular curriculum, educational gift ideas around the holidays, and ideas for bringing games and fun into our homeschool has been so helpful. In a world where sometimes homeschooling as a secular person can feel isolating, this podcast has often been there to help me feel less alone nerding out on curriculum and figuring out my kids’ learning styles. I don’t know how you two find... more
