More Amerc*nt Fenian nonsense. I say this as someone of proud Irish descent. These miserable lies spouted by a bunch of deranged and savage terrorists who killed countless British AND Irish people - including Michael Collins - just has to die. And you do that by reading recent historiographic accounts rather than opening the book of big book Feinian lies and exaggeration. Utterly shameful.
I’ve been reading about early Christianity, which obviously leads to the papacy and early church. This is an informative podcast and often times amusing.
This has become my very favorite podcast. I love this topic and Steve’s delivery is perfect: a well organized and direct lecture with cute and funny turns of phrase and observations thrown in. He doesn’t presume that you already know things. Yay, Steve.
Quite insightful and informative analysis of the Papacy, but includes so much detail and information that leaves the listener yearning and wanting more. Steve sticks with the program and the naysayers (see some of the negative reviews) are either lost in the forest or looking up the wrong tree…can I get an Amen!?
Boy do they waffle on at the start. I have to skip the first 6 minutes or so. The ads sometimes interrupt in the middle of a sentence which is very confusing.
But very unique interesting content. Would be good if you could tell it in a more chronological structure with more detail rather than kind of just spitting random facts. Please also break up the episodes list into seasons because it’s a terrible pain trying to scroll to the bottom to play one.
