I have so enjoyed listening to this podcast and learning more about beloved characters and places in the Tolkien legendarium. I have even more respect for you after hearing this episode in support of “The Rings of Power”—solid, reasoned arguments against the “haters” show your love for Tolkien’s world. I think Tolkien would be in favor of his work sparking new imaginings and ideas. All the valuable lessons about bravery, friendship, and seeking the good path are there in “The Rings of Power” and... more
I happen to enjoy this show although I wish new episodes would come out more often.
My issue is in the episode attacking critics of rings of power . Calling all critics racist is completely unacceptable, let others have an opinion without attacking their character, just as you are entitled to your own opinion.
Please stick to Middle earth leave out our earths stupid culture wars.

Phil dives deep on everything LOTR. His episodes are always well researched and essential for any LOTR fan that wants as much context as possible.
This podcast does a good job of doing a deep dive into Middle Earth lore, while keeping the episodes a nice length.
Absolutely fantastic!! Well researched and referenced. A brilliant resource for any Tolkien fan and a great companion for anyone travelling there and back again
Finally ... a LoTR podcast that is rich in historical context and doesn’t feature two guys joking around casually talking around the content. An excellent find and worthy listen.
Great informative podcast as a companion to reading the LOTR. Keep it up Phil!
This is a super informative and well researched podcast. A great companion piece to the Lord of the Rings. Keep it up!
Phil is an excellent host with a wealth of Middle Earth knowledge! Always enjoy listening!
Great little bursts of history delivered neatly and to the point in a quick episode that delves into backstory and relevance to the main story.
Good in-depth help explained very well. Thanks for the work put into this!
So excited to see the Facebook page and group that Phil has created come to life through this podcast. Episode 1 was perfect- eyes turned towards all the epic information to come. Phil is fantastic at Philin’ us in on the details we may have missed and his quality and voice is both professional and comforting! Frodo Lives... cause Phil says so!
