  • I'm 6 episodes in and so far it's just a cold list of facts and events. It sounds like the narrator is reading a wiki page on the bible. They are often repeating the same things a few times with different words. they are not offering any personal interpretation or point of view. The flat, obsessive tone becomes unpleasant after a while. also there are two minutes of commercials every five minutes of content

Gospel of Luke
Q: Why isn't there much of an emphasis on reading the Bible as Catholics?
From the beginning, the leaders of the Church have always studied and known the Scriptures inside and out, but for most of Christian history, education was low and books were expensive, making it difficult for the masses to read the Bible.
