Her work — featured in BuzzFeed, The New York Times, and CBS — explores the questions beneath the surface: Who am I, really? What gets in the way of that? And how do I keep showing up as someone I recognize? This isn’t about... more

Hayes is so considered and articulate. Her advice is so well rounded, non-judgmental, curious, and intelligent, it’s changed the way I approach adversity. Her vulnerability is admirable, and, as someone who has been listening from the first episode, it’s been a pleasure hearing her find a format that works so damn well.
I have been listening since the beginning. Usually watch on Youtube. Hayes breaks down questions in such a thoughtful way that really helps me stop and think about how I react to situations in life as well. Whether or not the question of the day is directly relevant to your personal life, you can still get something out of each episode. Definitely worth a listen.
Long time listener, first time reviewer (sorry it wasn’t earlier Hayes!!)
This is my favorite podcast in the world. It’s ruined all other podcasts for me. I love the format, the heart of the host, the empathetic, thoughtful tone, and the authenticity. I wish there was an episode every day (although I know it’s not sustainable!).
My name is also Alex, I also go by 3 names, and my husbands name is Brian 🤣 so maybe I was pre-disposed!
Wonderful thoughtful advice with such nuance
If you love the Not Sorry Production podcasts, Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green, or that feeling in a romcom when the best friend sits the protag down to lovingly knock some sense into her, this show is for you. I look forward to it every week.

The host blends empathy with practical frameworks, personal anecdotes, and a steady emphasis on self-reflection, authenticity, and emotional intelligence. Noteworthy are the structured question-and-answer format, the emphasis on boundaries and mutual respect in intimate relationships, and the way complex feelings are unpacked with warmth and honesty.
