Before each episode of Halfway Expert I study a given topic for exactly one week. Then I invite a real expert on the podcast and together we explain their topic while my expert guest corrects the misconceptions or misunderstandings I’ve picked up in my week of study.

By engaging with experts in fields he himself doesn't know much about (or at least, didn't know anything about until he put in the effort to become halfway expert) Paul has created a way to bring listeners along while learning about a wide variety of subjects. The guests are great, and I've really enjoyed learning about these topics.
Love Dr. Paul, the actual expert on medieval lit and “halfway expert” on so many topics, leading a conversation with actual experts in their fields. Bonus points for including so many women in STEM.
Great info and likable entertaining hosts, what more could you ask for!
Paul's enthusiasm for learning is palpable and infectious. His delight at becoming a half-expert makes this podcast. It's interesting, and informative, and he has rapport with the true experts. Highly reccomend!
I made this show, so I should know better than anyone that it's great!
